Frequently Asked Questions
Turkish cotton is a long fiber cotton grown in the small but productive Aegean Region of Turkey.
Longer fiber cotton means fewer joins. Fewer joins results in stronger and smoother cotton threads.
The best quality about Turkish cotton is it's ability to become fluffier and more absorbent after each wash.
Egyptian cotton is great for bed sheets and pillowcases. However, when it comes to towels, Turkish cotton comes out on top.
Egyptian cotton towels tend to be too absorbent. This leaves the towel damp for a lot longer than most people like.
Turkish cotton towels combine the perfect amount of absorbency with a pleasing plush texture to give you the best drying experience possible.
When you wash your new towels for the first time, you may notice some shedding. This is completely normal and will dissipate after the first couple of washes.
We recommend using a cup of white vinegar to the first wash cycle. This will soften your towels and prepare them for use.
Machine wash warm with bleach-free detergent.
We recommend air drying to prevent any damage to the towel but you may also tumble dry on low heat.
Do not use any fabric softener as it will prevent the towel from maintaining absorbency.
Always use a lower heat setting to maintain the integrity of the towel.

GSM means "Grams per Square Meter" and describes the weight of cotton in the towel.
A lower GSM means a lighter towel but doesn't mean lower quality.
A higher GSM means a heavy, thick towel that can absorb a lot of water.
Typically, a Turkish towel should have between 500-1,000 GSM.
Any less, and your towel might not absorb a lot of water, and will feel very thin.
Any more, and your towel may hold too much water and never fully dry correctly.
All of our towels are between 500-1,000 GSM for the best possible experience.
All of our towels are comprised of 100% Turkish cotton and are made in Denizli, Turkey at our mill.
We only use authentic Turkish cotton for our towels, so you know you're getting the best quality.
A lot of first-time Turkish towel users experience this issue, you're not alone!
This means the Turkish fibers have not been activated yet.
To activate the fibers in your towel, we recommend washing it twice before first use.
We also recommend adding a teaspoon of white vinegar to your first wash, but this is not necessary.
Turkish towels, sometimes called Pestemal, Hammam, or Fouta towels, are traditional bath towels typically used in Turkish bath houses.
These towels are made from the highest quality cotton and weaved on traditional Turkish looms. Due to the fine weave, they are made to be thin and lightweight.
Turkish towels are known for having superior absorbency, so while Turkish towels are thin and lightweight, they are extremely absorbent and fast-drying.
Our bath towels are typically 27 " x 54" (70cm x 140cm).
Our bath sheets are typically 30" x 60" (75cm x 150cm)
Our hand towels are typically 16" x 32" (40cm x 80cm)
Our washcloths are typically 13" x 13" (33cm x 33xm)
The possibilities are endless! Our traditional Turkish towels are perfect for drying off. They also double as a throw blanket or beach wrap!
Absolutely! In fact, they're popular because of how absorbent they are. Once you wash your towel the first couple of times,
you'll notice that it begins to soak up more and more water. They also dry really, really fast! Test one out and see for yourself!
Our towels are certified by OEKO-TEX, a global testing and certification authority for textiles.
Our mill is ISO9001 certified as well, meaning our mill abides by the same high standards as most USA manufacturers.
Nope! One of the final steps in the creation process is to pre-shrink the towel. This ensures that you don't pull out a small towel from the washer/drier than you put in.
